Geography
Top End Arts Marketing works across the whole of the Top End of the NT. From Tiwi Islands to Elliot, Borroloola to Lajamanu, including major centres like, Darwin, Palmerston and Katherine.
Top End Arts Marketing Purpose
To be a cohesive marketing and audience development agency for Top End arts which will help create a strong, versatile arts community that understands its audiences and communicates with them in a relevant way.
Where the money comes from
Top End Arts Marketing receives operational funding from the National Audience Development Division of the Australia Council for the Arts and from the Northern Territory Government through Arts NT.
Off The Leash
The what’s on guide for the Top End, is funded through advertising revenue and the inclusion of special programs.

Janice has a background in marketing, cultural theory and visual arts. She has worked in arts management in the Top End for the last eight years. A migrant from the cold south she originally came to Darwin to study for nine months and couldn’t bear to leave. In her spare time she’s a visual artist with an interest in dingoes.

Ali obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Adelaide followed by a Graduate Diploma of Management – Arts and Culture with a strong focus on arts marketing. She has a keen interest in festivals from major events such as the Adelaide Bank Festival of Arts (were she has worked in 2006 and 2008) to local community festivals. She values the important role that festivals play in all communities large or small in maintaining cultural identity, expression of ideas, transfer of knowledge and celebration of life!

Kate has a background in visual arts, multimedia and filmmaking. As an independent filmmaker Kate has experience in marketing and promoting oneself as an artist/filmmaker. She recently completed her post graduate studies in motion graphic and emerging media design at the Australian Film Television and Radio school, which translates into getting to make fun, quirky animations in her spare time.

Grahame Marshall (Chair)
General Manager Sales and Marketing TIO – Grahame has a legal background, and a lot of useful Board experience, as well as being a successful painter. He will bring very useful business and strategic skills to the Board.
Jane Munday
Managing Director of Michels Warren Munday, Northern Territory strategic communications specialists. Jane has extensive experience in media and PR including as Director of Marketing and Communication for the Office of Territory Development in the Department of the Chief Minister. Jane has a Master of Business Administration, majoring in Marketing. We welcome her back for her second term on our Board.
Todd Condie
Media and Information Officer, Northern Land Council, Todd for many years was the Editor of the Indigenous newspaper, the Koori Mail.
Susan Congreve
Susan has worked with Indigenous arts and crafts centres in varying capacities for the past 12 years. She now works as an arts consultant for communities in Western Australia and the Northern Territory helping build business skills.
Catherine Halkon
Project Manager for the National Accelerated Literacy Program, School for Social and Policy Research at Charles Darwin University is an experienced administrator and project manager with a history of successful coordination of multi-disciplinary project teams, grant writing and stakeholder liaison. Catherine has a personal and professional interest in community engagement.
John Waight
Manager Maningrida Arts & Culture Darwin, has wide experience across art forms including as a curator at the National Maritime Museum, and raining with NAISDA.
Mark Smith
Recently appointed to the position of Manager, Music NT. Mark has local, national and international experience as a musician, manager and marketer.
Jenelle Saunders
Co-Director of Ausdance NT. She has a background in dance and in education and is currently developing a three year strategic Indigenous employment in the arts project funded by the Australia Council.
Gail Evans
A well known Darwin producer, director, writer and performer. She regularly works with all of Darwin's major performing arts companies and is a well-respected member of the arts community.
Cerise King
EO of Katherine Region Arts has wide experience working in Indigenous communications and linguistics.
Roxane Lancaster
Project Officer with CHARTTES Training Advisory Council working on arts training projects.
Bong Ramillo
Executive Officer of Browns Mart Community Arts. He’s had a long association with our organization, having written the original feasibility study for the collaborative marketing consortium for Darwin which produced ArtsMARK in 1999. Bong has a strong background in community arts and in the use by communities of electronic technology.
