This website is your one stop online shop to the arts in the Top End. The site contains a comprehensive listing of what’s on (including a daily calendar) along with details of key local arts organisations and groups, opportunities, marketing resources, news and information on Indigenous arts of the region. Updated 5 days of the week, www.topendarts.com.au is a fantastic resource for artists, arts organisations, media and arts punters. How do I get a listing on www.topendarts.com.au? The website provides space for you to list your arts organisation, events, opportunities and news and it’s all done through online submission so you’re able to edit and maintain control of your own information. Click the following links to upload information to www.topendarts.com.au (if you’re already a member go to the homepage and sign in to submit your information): Submit Event Submit Opportunity Submit to What’s New (news) Submit to Arts Directory (your organisation profile – you need to be a member to access this service) If you regularly hold arts related events we recommend that you become a member of Top End Arts Marketing. It’s free and you’ll be able to submit your information more efficiently online and you’ll also get reminder emails about important details and opportunities to promote your event. What happens with my listing? Will it be published anywhere else? When you submit your event online it will go into holding for the Communications Officer, Kate Riedel to approve. Usually this will happen on the day it was submitted. Once approved, the listing will go live and be there for you to edit and change at will. The best thing about online submission is that it’s a one point submit for a whole lot of other publications, including Off The Leash, our ebulletin, the NT News (exhibitions only) and select local tourism publications. When should I put my listing ups – are there any deadlines? To make sure you maximise the benefits of listing online we request that you upload your event information as soon as possible – even if it’s 6 months or a year out from your event. Remember that you can edit your listing so you can put up the ‘bare bones’ information well in advance and pad out the information as the date draws nearer. The earlier we get the information, the more useful it is. We often get requests for media for event information 3-6 months out and if your event is online, we can pass on the details and you might just get yourself some additional free coverage. Although events can be uploaded right up until the day of the event, as a minimum we recommend you get your event up by the Off The Leash deadline. The Off The Leash deadline is always the first day of the month prior to the edition. For example, the deadline for the October edition of Off The Leash is 1st of September. |
