Welcome

At the heart of Top End culture is the land, law, art and culture of the many Indigenous peoples who have lived in and cherished this country for many thousands of years.

‘Arts on Country' allows you to search by region for art centres, exhibitions, concerts, performances and festivals where the diversity of Aboriginal art and culture can be experienced in the Top End.

Stretching across the top of the Northern Territory from the Tiwi Islands and Croker Island in the north, Groote Eylandt and the Gulf of Carpenteria in the East, through Arnhem Land and the Katherine Region down to Lajamanu in Walpiri Country on the edge of the Tanami Desert to the south, and up through the VRD to Wadeye, on the coast of the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf.

If you live in the Top End or are just visiting, the opportunities to experience and share this culture are not to be missed. View the best of contemporary and traditional arts, dance to one of the dozens of exciting contemporary bands, be moved and uplifted by traditional dance performance, or enjoy a weekend of culture at one of the many community festivals.
