About

'Serving in the Territory, 1941-1945' In commemoration of the Boming of Darwin In 1944, 63 690 men and women were serving in the Northern Territory and experiencing the Tropics for the very first time. This exhibition uses photographs, newspapers and original documents from the Library own collection, which shows the adverse conditions under which our military forces lived whilst protecting Australia’s north during the Second World War. Free Exhibition, open to the public.
