Who should be a member? If you’re an artist or you work for an arts organisation or an organisation that does a significant amount of work in the arts, membership is for you. To become a member you need to live in the Top End of the NT or do a significant amount of work in the region. How much does it cost? It’s FREE! What will I get? Top End Arts Marketing provides everyone with opportunities to get the word out about their arts based activities and events for free. Submit your event online and you’ll instantly tap into a broad arts audience via www.topendarts.com.au, the Top End Arts email bulletin and Off The Leash BUT as a member you’ll get so much more… Consultation & Advice We offer marketing consultation and advice on three levels: • Quickies: Got a quick question? Send us and email or drop us a line. With so many small organisations and independent artists across the Top End sometimes we all need another brain solidify ideas. We’re happy to help when ever possible. • Clinics: provide an opportunity to tackle small marketing issues for organisations, individuals or events. Top End Arts Marketing staff will sit down with you and brainstorm creative resolutions to your marketing questions. For example, we can help with a marketing outline for a special event, help identify audiences or troubleshoot and identify audience barriers and heaps more. Clinics are a great opportunity for you to learn more about marketing in a context that is relevant to you and enjoy it as a creative process. Clinics normally take 1-2 hours and at the end you’ll receive a summary report of our discussions and conclusions. To book a clinic call us on 8924 4418 and we’ll schedule you in. (revamp of old clinic promo here). • Major partners: Each year Top End Arts Marketing looks to work intensively with 1 or 2 organisations that are committed to improving their marketing strategies. We can help you build new audiences, write marketing plans, help rebuild a brand and much more. Part of the process is about up skilling your staff so they can carry on without us at the end of the year and we grow the skills across the sector. If you’re interested in becoming a major partner give us a call on 8924 4418 to discuss your requirements. As these are yearly projects we will need some advanced notice. Research We’ve had lots of experience assisting with and running audience research projects. Focus groups, surveys, feedback, competitions, ticketing analysis and more… There are two ways we can help with your audience research: • Advice: we are happy to provide hands on advice about any audience development research activities you’d like to undertake. We can help you determine what sort of research will best suit your needs. • Doing it: If you don’t have the people power to conduct your own research we can do it for you. In most instances there will be a negotiated cost involved and of course we’ll still need your input to ensure your needs are met. And we’ll keep you well informed through the process and afterwards so you’re well prepared for next time. We will report back to the sector on any broadly relevant findings that come out of the research we conduct so as one of our members you’ll always be well informed. Notices about marketing opportunities We’re often approached by media outlets for information about what’s on and story ideas. As a member you’ll be the first to hear about these opportunities and well placed to get free promotion. In the past we’ve worked with Object magazine, Art Notes, NT News, Tourism Top End, Qantas Magazine and the ABC. Reminders about TEAM deadlines If you’re used to seeing deadlines wiz by, our membership will help you catch them… Timely reminders about Off The Leash and other upcoming promotional opportunities will hit your inbox. Faster online submission All our members core details (phone numbers, booking details, addresses etc) are stored in our online database and will automatically populate your online submission forms making event submission quick and painless. Opportunities for a stronger presence in Off The Leash We love our members and do our best to look after them so we’ll always look to our membership for profiles, stories and spotlight events to go in Off The Leash. This will give you a stronger presence, can help build your brand and give people a window into your organisation or event. A listing for your organisation on www.topendarts.com.au www.topendarts.com.au is the first port of call for anyone passing through the Top End with an interest in the arts. As a member you’ll receive an organisation listing on the site so you’ll always be easy to find. Access to equipment We have a range of equipment available for our members to use including a laminator, digital camera, TV, DVD player, projector and more.
