Amateur Balinese Gamelan Group Wants New Members
Tunas Mekar (Blooming Flower) Gamelan Group is seeking new members to join the group. Tunas Mekar provides instruction in playing authentic Balinese Gamelan and is led by Desak Putu Warti, an eminent and experienced musician, dancer and teacher. Musical instruments are provided and the emphasis is on practise and performance. Tunas Mekar is anticipating a performance at a local cultural festival on the 31st August. No previous experience in musicianship required, but a relaxed and positive attitude is helpful.
