Djilpin Arts

Djilpin Arts members belong to Arnhem Land language groups Rittharngu/Wagalak, Dalabon, Rembarrnga and Mialli. Djilpin Arts specializes in live cultural performance, produces the annual Walking with Spirits Festival, operates the Ghunmarn Culture Centre home of the Blanasi Collection.

Warrk Warrk, the music video clip, was released early in 2008 as the first music video from the CD/DVD Muyngarnbi – Songs from Walking With Spirits. A collaboration between Directors Tom E. Lewis and Julia Morris with Wagilak dancers and Songman Roy Ashley.

   

Walking with Spirits Festival

Katherine hosts the annual Walking with Spirits Festival, a unique event, featuring multimedia exhibitions, traditional, international and modern music, dance and performance. Ghunmarn Culture Centre and the Blanasi collection are at Beswick. Presented by Djilpin Arts Aboriginal Corporation & the Australian Shakespeare Company.
