Lonely Boys

Ngukurr in the Roper River Region, known as ‘heartland of Indigenous rock’, is the home of the Lonely Boys. Well known and popular band the Lonely Boys have been playing up a storm across the Top End of the Northern Territory.

Their driving guitar and hard rockin’ combined with a bit of reggae has been a hit with audiences of all kinds. The bands songs are about Aboriginal lifestyle on country and about their family, friends and the relationships with the people that live in their community. Lonely Boys have played at: Darwin Festival 2007 Merrepen Arts Festival 2007 ‘Groove in the Moo’ Festival, Darwin Amphitheatre 2006 Katherine Many community festivals.

T-Lynx 

The T-Lynx Band formed in the Roper River Region in the town of Ngukurr in 1996. Inspired by reggae and rock - Bob Marley to Bon Jovi, the T-Lynx band sing about their country and homelands on the Roper River in far south east Arnhem Land. Their songs are stories about fishing, hunting, having a good time and about how the band formed….and they have some love songs too! They perform regularly at the Barunga Festival and many other community Festivals around the Top End.
