DVAA New Administrator/Coordinator

Darwin Visual Arts Association Inc welcomes its new Administrator/Coordinator: Lisa Wolfgramm

Lisa graduated from Curtin University’s School of Art in 1987 (majoring in painting) and returned there in 1991 to study a Postgraduate diploma in painting.

For the past 18 years she has lectured at a number of art schools including Kalgoorlie Community College, Claremont School of Art, and the School of Contemporary Arts, Edith Cowan University. She has also worked as a Community Arts Worker in the area of disability and the arts.

She has presented 10 solo exhibitions and has been involved in multiple collaborative projects and exhibitions.  She has also been involved in the instigation and organization of a number Artist Run Initiatives in Perth including 5 years with the Verge Inc Gallery and Studios Northbridge.    

Lisa’s work is represented in every major collection in Perth where she is represented by Turner Galleries.  She was winner of the prestigious 2006 Bankwest Contemporary Art Award.

Lisa arrived in Darwin from Perth in November 2007 and has since worked on a casual basis at the Darwin Visual Arts Association, 24HR Art and the School of Creative Arts and Humanities Charles Darwin University.  She was project officer for this year’s Sculpture in the Park.
