The long awaited landmark EP from one of the Territory’s most accomplished bands will be released on the 18^th November. Cassandra Never Lies is the new EP from one of the most forthright  musical acts ever to come out of the Territory....This latest release is an articulate, intelligent and multidimensional work featuring the trademark fiery guitar, and imposing, rich and powerful vocals for which Roymackonkey are famous.

The EP’s title  Cassandra Never Lies is so- named after the beautiful princess of Greek mythology who was granted the love gift of prophecy by the God Apollo,  however when she did not return his love, he cursed her, so that no one would ever believe her predictions. The EP itself also features artwork by local and critically acclaimed Darwin artist Franck Gohier.

Like the ancient myth, the music of Roymackonkey is timeless and not without a sense of mysticism. Indeed, their journey thus far has led them over ten years of musical exploration, experimentation and enlightenment. This, their second EP marks an important milestone and is sure to be a sign of greatness to come. The journey continues….
